How To Manipulate Items

PARAMETERS

Simply click on an Item in your scene and the parameters tab will automatically show the available options for that Item.

Size, Position & Rotation Parameters #

Size #

Width (W) – Adjusts the width of the Item

Depth (D) – Adjusts the Items depth

Height (H) – Adjusts the height of the Item

In the example above, we have clicked on the “Nickel Table Lamp” item. We can adjust its size by changing the Width (W), Depth (D), and Height (H) values.

The three images above show the same table lamp, but with differing Size parameters. Adjust these settings to create unique shapes to match your needs.

Position #

X – The Items position on the X plane within the scene.

Y – Adjusts the Items position vertically, up and down.

Z – Adjusts the Items position in the Z plane within the scene.

3D Gizmo

The 3D Gizmo will allow you to quickly position Items in your scene. with its Position and Rotation handles.

RED Move the item along the x-axis

GREEN Move the item along the y-axis

BLUE Move the item along the z-axis

Rotation #

Click and drag the circular handle to rotate the Item on its y-axis.

Y – Accepts a value between 0 and 360

Docking #

Lock in Place #

Lock in Place will fix your Item in its current location, preventing you from accidentally moving it in the scene. Note that you will not be able to adjust the position or rotation parameters when the Item is locked in place.

Adhere to Gravity #

Adhere to Gravity mimics the effects of real-world gravity for an Item. It is turned on by default, allowing you to easily drag objects on top of one another in your 3D scene.
